I've been busy since my birthday. I've been trying to do so many new things. I've been rolling over and over and over and over again. Mommy tires to put my on blankets on the floor but I want to move around. I don't stay on them for very long. My daddy has been working with me on my sitting. It is a new way to look at things. I can't do it for very long and I can't do to many things while I am trying to sit up because I end up falling over! As long as my parents are close by I don't mind falling over once and a while.
You've all seen me do this before...I talk for minutes on end. I keep trying to make the same sounds my parents make but no matter how hard I try they don't come out quite right. Except towards the end of this tape...Mommy says "all done" and my sounds came out like hers! It surprised her as much as it surprised me!

5 Months Old
So I am 5 months old today (for you Chapelle lovers that's, "one, two, three, four, fiiiif."). I've been pretty busy the last couple of months, you know all of those jet setting trips to LA and all. I am now back home and loving exploring my home again. I've been noticing new things now that I can hold my head up and move it from side to side. There is so many things to look at!

My New Sounds....
I think I've almost got this speaking thing down. You put your lips together and see what kinds of noises you can make. My parents seem to get more excited when I do this than when I am just making squealing and squeaking noises. For all of you who've commented on my hair, you'll know why it stands up the way it does after you watch this. I love running my fingers through it! I've also recently found those two things at the end of my legs. My parents call them "feet" every time I touch them. Now if I could figure out how to get them in my mouth, hmmmmm.
4th of July weekend
Happy 4th of July! My parents and I drove to California to celebrate the 4th with our family in Los Angeles. What could be more American than celebrating the 4th by wearing red, white and blue and a Dodger hat?
Who needs the park when your parents are willing to make their own kind of swing? It was fun because when I rolled one way there was Mommy and then I would roll the other way and there was Daddy!
Grandpa Moss got a new toy but I don't know what the big deal is. What good is a car if my car seat won't fit into it? Everyone got to go for a ride except for me! Grandpa told me that when I get old enough I can learn how to drive stick shifts on his car.
Mommy snapped this picture when I was being goofy with Grandma Moss. Grandma Moss likes to sing all sorts of crazy songs. This last trip she kept singing a song that went something like: "pop goes the weasel," and then she would "pop" me up in the air. I guess in that song I'm the weasel. Should I be offended she is calling me a weasel? What is a weasel anyway?
Fun with Fish
We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach when we went back to Los Angeles last weekend. I can't wait until I can actually learn how to surf. I guess first things first though, I need to learn how to stand up on my own on land before I try and stand up on a surfboard on the water, huh? Doesn't Malia make the cutest seal ever?
This is something I don't ever want to run into when I am out surfing! Well actually this shark seemed kind of harmless because my parents let me get close enough to it to take a picture with it.

Uncle DeOnte was at the aquarium too! Nobody can tell from the pictures at the aquarium because I am not smiling but I had a great time. Sometimes when I am investigating new stuff around me I forget to smile!
