It's a lazy afternoon
This has been a big week in our house. Mommy and Daddy kept telling me how proud they are of me because I've been sleeping through the night. I told them that it was a piece of cake! Doing all of this growing has been exhausting. Mommy and Daddy have also been playing this funny game. They are never in the same room at the same time anymore. Daddy has told me that he is working when it gets dark outside and when I am doing all of that good sleeping. Mommy told me she works when the sun comes up. I am lucky because I get quality one-on-one time with each of them. I am enjoying relaxing on my favorite yellow blanket and doing what I do best: smile, laugh and melt my mommy's heart. Notice my new hairdo. It has started to curl right on the top of my head, my parents say it looks like I have a mo-hock, whatever that is.

Wanna go for a walk?
They keep telling me I am supposed to forget this reflex, but I am ready to walk! My daddy is helping me now but I think I will be able to do it soon on my own. The joke is gonna be on him. The early I walk the less sleep he is going get. I can't wait to explore this place on my own.

I Found my hand
I'm back. Yesterday was rough, and I am not looking forward to the next round of shots in another couple of months but you can't keep me down for long. Today was a good day. Mommy and Daddy played with me AND I found my hand! It is getting easier and easier for me to hold it and put it in my mouth. It is good thing too because I heard a rumor yesterday that they were going to take away my pacifier.
WHY???
If you'll notice in this picture I have not one, not two, but three band-aids! You have to wonder why I am crying? My parents and doctor have a really sick idea of what birthdays are. Yesterday, just after my 2nd month birthday, I received FIVE shots! Before they gave me the shots, they told Mommy that I weighed 11 pounds 13 ounces, and I am now 23 inches long. They said that I've been doing a good job at growing and this is how they reward that? No thank you.
Mommy's note: For all of you concerned relatives, Myles only cried for a little bit and then fell asleep. His shots only slowed him down for a minute. He woke up this morning smiling and cooing at me. He doesn't know how to hold a grudge yet! I told Myles that birthdays get better once you hit the year mark....

Another Weekend Another New Person
This weekend I met my cousin Rachel. She was a lot of fun. She liked to rock me and and put me over her shoulder but when I started to cry or was in need of a diaper change she quickly passed me off to Mommy or Grandma Colleen.
I also got a chance to see Grandma and Grandpa Moss. They brought me this silver rattle. They told me that it used to belong to Uncle MJ and Mommy. I thought it was a whole lot of fun until I tried to eat it and hit myself in the nose. I haven't quite figured out my own strength or how to get my arms to go in the direction I want them to.

Uncle MJ
From the time I came home from the hospital my parents have introduced me to so many people. It seems like every couple of days I get to meet someone new and this weekend I met Uncle MJ. My mom says that Uncle MJ came all the way from this place called China. I guess it is really far away. I've been trying to get used to the crazy way my mom and dad talk and then there was the way this guy spoke. It was completely different. I didn't understand him at all. I guess there is still a lot out there for me to learn. I thought I was doing pretty well with figuring out that smiling thing.

I Can Stand... Sorta
My parents were having a good time on Friday night watching the Laker game with their friends (Dan and Shanon, and Mike and Laura-Ann) and Uncle M.J. when I told my dad that I wanted to stand up for a little bit. I can make my legs hold myself up but I am having problems with the that thing that they call balance. If my dad wasn't standing right behind me I would have fallen off the edge of the couch!
